World playlists and suggestions

Use Worlds on the dashboard to find VRChat worlds, organize playlists, review member suggestions, and choose worlds for upcoming events.

Requirements

Requirement Details
Your access Administrator for the dashboard's Worlds pages, including browsing. Members can suggest and use Discord event-world controls subject to your configured role rules.
LogDog in Discord View Channel, Send Messages, Embed Links, and Read Message History in panel, notification, and event-world channels.
LogDog in VRChat No extra group permission for world lookups; View Audit Log and instance visibility provide your group's hosting history.
Plan Free: 3 playlists. Premium: 25 playlists and custom suggestion-panel appearance. Both allow 50 worlds per playlist.

Worlds is in beta, so controls may change. Report problems in the support server.

The Explorer

Open Worlds and search by name or author. Filter by tags, Quest ready, or minimum capacity. Your history shows worlds your group has hosted, with recorded visit counts, average players, and peak players.

You can also paste a VRChat world URL or wrld_… ID to fetch a world missing from the catalog. Details may take time to load.

Use a world's add button to select a playlist, or open its name for the world page.

The world page

A world page shows the author, platforms, capacity, description, and tags. LogDog's tags are used by the Explorer filters; VRChat tags are supplied by the world's author.

In your playlists lets you add the world to a playlist or see where it is already saved. Your group's stats and Recent sessions show recorded hosting history and link to instance statistics. Related worlds appear below.

Playlists

Open Playlists, then create or select a playlist. Use Add worlds or Edit beside the title. Browse shows world cards; Manage lets you reorder worlds, add notes, remove worlds, or delete the playlist.

Open to member suggestions is enabled by default. Turn it off to exclude a playlist from the member suggestion picker.

Event worlds

LogDog can suggest three worlds from a playlist, favoring worlds your group has not hosted recently or has not tried. Staff can choose them on the playlist page or in Discord.

Set up on the dashboard

  1. Open Settings → Event worlds and set Post them in to a private staff channel.
  2. Choose Only when asked or Before each event, then set the lead time if needed.
  3. Assign a playlist in an event's Playlist for event worlds field. Use Playlist for events without one as a fallback, including for imported calendar events.
  4. Check Who can pick worlds. These are the same role rules used for world suggestions.

If no playlist applies to an event, LogDog skips its world suggestions.

Check staff access

World suggestions allow everyone by default, and those role rules also control /eventworlds and its Discord buttons. Set the allowed roles if choices should be limited to staff. Keep the destination channel private in Discord; LogDog does not make it private for you. Administrators always have access.

Use in Discord or on the playlist page

Run /eventworlds, optionally selecting a playlist, or choose Post to Discord on the playlist page. The choices stay in sync between both interfaces:

  • Pick this world keeps a choice.
  • Shuffle worlds replaces choices that have not been picked.
  • Confirm all keeps the whole set.
  • New suggestions starts a new set.

When your group opens an instance in a picked world, LogDog records the visit for future suggestions.

Member suggestions

Configure Settings → World suggestions on the dashboard:

  1. Enable suggestions and choose which roles may suggest, or leave it open to everyone.
  2. Set the per-member limit: 3 per 24 hours by default, adjustable up to 25 or unlimited.
  3. Optionally choose a panel channel and enable Keep a panel posted.
  4. Optionally set Mod notifications to receive links to new suggestions.

The Discord equivalent is /config → World Suggestions.

Members use Suggest a world on the panel or /suggestworld. They paste a world link, optionally explain their suggestion, and can select a playlist open to suggestions.

A world already waiting for review gets a +1 instead of a duplicate entry. A +1 uses one of the member's suggestions; submitting it again from the same account adds nothing. Worlds already on a playlist are declined. A dismissed world can be suggested again. Lookup cooldowns and the size of the pending queue can also limit new suggestions.

Premium servers can customize the panel's title, text, and thumbnail.

Reviewing suggestions

Open Worlds → Suggestions as an administrator. Review the world, the member's reason, and any +1s, then choose:

  • Approve: add the world to the chosen playlist. LogDog attempts to DM the member. Make room first if the playlist already has 50 worlds.
  • Dismiss: archive the suggestion without notifying the member.

A world marked details pending cannot be approved until its information loads, but can still be dismissed.
