How setup works¶
- Sign in to the dashboard with Discord and choose your server.
- Add LogDog, then choose or create your log channels.
- Connect your VRChat group and accept the LogDog account's join request if approval is required.
- Give that account View Audit Log in your VRChat group's role settings.
You need Administrator in Discord to configure LogDog. Someone with the appropriate
VRChat group permissions must accept the request and assign the account's group role.
You can also set up from Discord with /setup; both interfaces use the same configuration.
Find a feature¶
- Logs: read Discord logs, search the dashboard, or notify moderator roles.
- Moderation: ban users, respond to join requests, screen requests, and review user history.
- Accounts and roles: link members' accounts and sync Discord roles to VRChat.
- Events and worlds: schedule events, publish announcements, and organize playlists and suggestions.
- Community activity: show member counts, list open instances, announce instances, and review activity and turnout.
Core logging is free. See Premium for additional customization and limits.
Terms used in these guides¶
- Server means your Discord server; group means your VRChat group.
- LogDog's Discord bot posts messages and manages the Discord features you enable.
- LogDog's VRChat account joins your group and uses the group permissions you grant it.
- Audit-log events are recorded actions, such as joins or bans. Scheduled events are calendar entries for your community's activities.
LogDog checks VRChat periodically, so logs and player counts can take a few minutes to update. For help, visit the support server.
