Configuration guide¶
Open app.logdog.gg, select your server, and use the locations below to change your setup. Dashboard settings and their Discord equivalents share the same configuration.

Save changes¶
Most setting switches and channel/role choices save when you change them. Text forms, such as branding and reason presets, have their own save buttons. Check for a success or error message before leaving a form.
The dashboard's personal preferences control your time zone, date format, and time format. They follow your account across servers. Scheduled-event views can show the event's own time zone; check the zone displayed there.
Change what's delivered¶
Use Log Routing or /events to change channels, disable event types, or set
Premium colors. You do not need to restart setup or disconnect your group.
Restart setup¶
Before connecting a group, use Start over on the dashboard setup page or
Restart setup in /setup to reset your channel selections. Created Discord
channels are separate from those selections; check for channels you no longer need.
Delete configuration¶
To disconnect or change your VRChat group, use Delete configuration in dashboard
Settings, or run /setup and choose Delete configuration. Enter the confirmation
name shown. This is normally your group name; if LogDog cannot resolve it, the prompt
uses your Discord server name.
LogDog processes the disconnection in the background:
- Logging stops and the assigned account leaves your VRChat group.
- Discord channels and previously delivered log messages remain.
- Channel selections and some feature settings remain available for reconnection.
- Scheduled events and announcements are suspended; features such as request screening, member count, and the open-instances panel are disabled.
The server is ready to connect a group again after disconnection completes. Review its settings before enabling features for the new group. Reconnecting the same group can resume suspended events and announcements; see their individual guides.
Deleting configuration is not the same as deleting all stored data. See the Privacy Policy for retention and FAQ for removing the bot entirely.
If LogDog loses access¶
If the bot is removed from Discord or its VRChat account loses audit-log access, LogDog pauses logging. For lost VRChat access, it sends an alert through its notification channels.
Restore View Audit Log, restore the account's group membership if necessary, or re-add the Discord bot. LogDog checks and resumes automatically when access returns. If access is not restored before the deadline in the alert, it disconnects the group. The default grace window is 24 hours, with a reminder 6 hours before the deadline.
Moving the group to another server¶
While the bot is removed, the group stays reserved for its old server until the deadline,
so no other server can connect it. The group's VRChat owner doesn't have to wait: run
/setup in the new server and connect the same group. This works when the Discord
account running /setup is linked to the VRChat account that owns
the group. LogDog confirms ownership with VRChat again before moving anything, then
connects the group, history included, to the new server.
- Start the move from
/setupin Discord. The dashboard setup page explains the step but cannot start it. - The old server's admins get a dashboard notification saying the group moved. If LogDog is added back to the old server later, it posts the same notice there.
- Adding LogDog back to the old server before the move finishes cancels the move.
- Moves only apply when the bot was removed. If the old server still has LogDog, delete its configuration there first.
One group per server¶
Each Discord server connects to one VRChat group, and each group connects to one server. Disconnect the current group before connecting a different one.
