Managing your configuration¶
Everything about your LogDog setup can be changed later — re-run /setup any time.
Change what's delivered¶
To turn categories or individual event types on/off (or set premium colors), use /events — no need to re-run setup.
Restart setup¶
Run /setup again and use Restart setup to throw away your channel layout and start
the channel-selection over. This is safe before a group is connected — nothing is
locked in yet.
Delete configuration¶
Once a group is connected, /setup shows a Delete configuration button. To confirm,
you type your group's name. This immediately tears everything down:
- LogDog's account leaves your VRChat group.
- Logging stops and the server returns to a fresh, un-onboarded state.
Use this when you want to disconnect a group, switch to a different one, or remove LogDog
cleanly. To reconnect afterward, just run /setup again.
If LogDog loses access¶
LogDog watches for two things that would stop it working, and handles both automatically:
- It's removed from your Discord server, or
- It loses View Audit Log access in your VRChat group (the account was removed from the group, or the permission was revoked).
When either happens, LogDog pauses (it stops pulling and delivering — no wasted work)
and, for lost audit access, posts an @here alert in your setup channel explaining what
happened and which account to re-grant.
- Re-grant access (or re-add the bot) and LogDog resumes automatically and posts a confirmation.
- If access isn't restored, LogDog sends a reminder before a grace deadline and then
tears the configuration down automatically (the account leaves the group, and the server
resets to onboarding). Re-onboard any time with
/setup.
Grace window
The grace period gives you time to fix an accidental change before anything is removed. Defaults are a 24-hour grace window with a reminder 6 hours before the deadline.
One group per server¶
LogDog is strictly one VRChat group per Discord server (and one server per group). To
monitor a different group, delete the current configuration first, then run /setup for the
new one.
