The /events command

/events is an admin-only command for tuning what LogDog delivers to your server. Like /setup, it runs privately — only you see the menu.

By default everything is on. Use /events to turn things off (or back on) at two levels.

Categories vs. individual events

LogDog groups VRChat event types into categories (Member, Role, Instance, Request, Post, …). You can toggle a whole category, or drill into a single event type within it.

  • 📂 Categories — turn an entire category on or off for the whole server.
  • ⚙️ Event Types — pick a category, then toggle one specific event type inside it.

Each toggle is tri-state:

State Meaning
On Delivered.
Off Not delivered.
Default Inherit — an event with no explicit setting follows its category; a category with no setting defaults to on.

A per-event setting overrides its category. For example: turn the whole Member category off, but flip Member Join back on, and you'll get joins only.

For the full list of categories and the event types in each, see the Event catalog.

Custom colors (premium)

Log embeds are color-coded by severity (informational, warning, negative/positive action). Premium servers can override the embed color per event type from the 🎨 Colors menu in /events — pick a category, an event, and a color.

Tips

  • Changes apply to new events going forward; already-delivered messages aren't changed.
  • Not seeing an event you expect? Check it isn't toggled off here, then see the FAQ.
